Tek-nology Solutions works with a Midlands-based firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, whose focus is on providing clients with the highest quality service, advice and expertise. With offices located across the Midlands, they have around 100 network users across these sites.
The company approached Tek-nology Solutions regarding business continuity – how best to avoid potential downtime and prevent business interruption.
Tek-nology Solutions discussed the benefits of Double-Take® Availability® – providing continuous real-time replication and automatic failover capabilities for disaster recovery, High Availability (HA) and centralised backup.
Further discussions with resulted in the original ‘business continuity’ proposal developing into a larger implementation that introduced server virtualisation to consolidate their servers (with Direct Attached Storage).
Two of the company’s Midlands locations are connected via a leased line communications link. This has enabled Tek-nology Solutions to install additional servers at the second location, and using Double-Take® Availability,® replicate the live production servers to this site. This is now providing hardware, software and geo-redundancy protection.
