Aruba Networks: Aruba MOVE™

Aruba’s MOVE™ architecture unifies wired, wireless and remote access infrastructures into one seamless, cohesive network access solution. It eliminates redundant services, together with the cost and complexity of managing separate access policies, to provide capital and operational cost savings.

MOVE is driven by mobility, the proliferation of Wi-Fi-enabled mobile devices and multimedia applications, and is designed to support BYOD access.

Privileges are linked to a user’s context – providing consistent, secure access to network resources based on who users are – no matter where they are, what devices they are using or how they are connected:

  • Identity-based security assigns a consistent set of access policies to users and enforces those policies across the wired and wireless.

  • Users are able to roam with their mobile devices without having to re-authenticate when they move location.

  • Device intelligence, called ‘device fingerprinting’ added to the corporate Wi-Fi network provides IT departments with mobile device access control enabling BYOD to be embraced.

  • End-to-end visibility and control simplifies the management of mobile users across multi-vendor, multi-site networks.
