As Founder and Chairman of the Tek Response Group including Tek-nology Solutions, Dave Graesser has been instrumental in creating the business we see today. Prior to April 2016 Dave played a hands-on role in the business - as an experienced techie in the early years of the business followed by providing clients a business-led consultancy approach to sales. Dave applied his many years of commercial hands on technical and business consultancy expertise to help our clients achieve more from their IT and demonstrated a passion for solving business problems with practical IT solutions that work.
Dave started the business in early 1999 based on his own technical skills and initially worked ‘hands on’ to deliver all projects. He went on to develop a team of technical experts to manage technical project delivery, allowing Dave to focus on the commercial and strategic side of developing the business; successfully acquiring and integrating two additional businesses into Tek-nology Solutions; and seeing him listed in the ‘Who’s Who’ of Britain’s Business Elite for four years running. His rare combined skillset of strong technical awareness in addition to commercial acumen provide another key differentiator for the business.
Over the years, Dave has consulted, project managed and delivered £millions of projects to our diverse client base. His approach has always been the same: to initially gain an understanding of key business goals and drivers; diagnosing and delivering IT solutions that add value to an organisation; solving business issues and allowing senior management and directors to concentrate on managing their business.
In April 2016, Dave became our Chairman, having appointed from within the business a new senior management team led by Kal Bhangu as our managing director. Kal joined the business in 2004 and worked his way through various roles from technical analyst to senior technical analyst to technical manager to technical director to today our managing director, having supported Dave both commercially and technically for many years.
In 2015, Dave joined the board as Director of IT for The Air Ambulance Service, on a part-time ad hoc basis. With 23+ years commercial and technology experience, Dave is available to work with organisations to help them develop and implement their business-focused IT strategies, whether working as a consultant, director or non-executive director.
In his spare time, Dave enjoys facing new challenges and considers himself a bit of an ‘adrenalin junkie’. His exploits have included: undertaking a tandem skyrdive from 12k feet in aid of charity; experiencing the thrill of the ‘flying fox’ – a high speed exhilaration at 160kph across a 1.1km zip wire 175 metres above a canyon; the challenge of off-road quad-biking through the Tongariro National Park, NZ; canoeing down the Whanganui river, NZ; wire-base-jumping off Auckland’s SkyTower – 192m off the ground which is higher than London’s Gherkin building; and powerboat racing on the Solent.
Having obtained his motorcycle license aged 42, Dave has become a keen biker. Initially he enjoyed cruising on his Harley Davidson Night Rod Special - before moving on to a more sporty bike, a Ducati Diavel.
